The Tree of Knowledge

This is a painting that has been swirling around in my head and heart for a little while now. An opportunity presented itself over the last few days where my children had some playing time at a friends house...so I made the most of my time, whilst school holidays are on, I was keen to 'get into' this piece.
I was inspired to use lots of techniques that I have used previously, and some from a number of years ago. I felt very excited about creating this piece....it will be interesting to see what grows from this. Creating art is an 'organic idea' process, where one idea grows and changes form from one art piece to the next, and I love to see the development of ideas change and grow! Not only in my work but observing change in others is exciting for me.

Here is a close up of the painting, where I have used lots of materials I absolutely adore! Lace, buttons clips off bras, beads, shells, string, paper...

And then on the side I included words. I do love words in artwork, I guess it gives another dimension.

This artwork is for sale, please contact me if you would like more information.
I truly love this piece and would love to see go to a special home.
I have been inspired by Pam to include a daily affirmation or words of wisdom. So my affirmation for today is....
"I acknowledge the great wisdom within me."

Enjoy an abundant day of knowlegde and creativity!

This is absolutely gorgeous! You've used 2 of my favorite colors - I enjoy working with purples and oranges too. This is such a lovely piece!
