Messages to Connect Us

Lately i've been feeling inspired by the wonderful infectious connections in humanity, and especially who the blog world has connected and offered each other; Pay it Forward, One World One Heart, You Make a Difference.

Seeing today is New Moon in Aries, giving energy to new beginnings, pioneering and forging ahead I felt the urge to create "Soul Connections, Sole Message". Some of the inspiration also came from the song Message in the Bottle, by Sting and the Police. I had heard the song many, many times but didn't really click into the meaning of the worlds. (I've just included the verses as we all know the chorus!)

Just a castaway,

an island lost at sea, oh

Another lonely day,

with no one here but me, oh

More loneliness than any man could bear

Rescue me before I fall into despair, oh

A year has passed since I wrote my note

But I should have known this right from the start

Only hope can keep me together

Love can mend your life but

Love can break your heart

Walked out this morning,

don't believe what I saw

Hundred billion bottles washed up on the shore

Seems I'm not alone at being alone

Hundred billion castaways, looking for a home

Then reading some Wiki......

The song is ostensibly about a castaway on an island, who sends out a message in a bottle to seek help. A year later, he feels that there is no need for love. Later on, he sees "a hundred billion bottles" on the shore, finding out that there are more people like him out there."Message in a Bottle" may also be read as a lament of isolation and loneliness caused by the loss of a loved one ("love can break your heart"): he seeks help but gets no reply, then realizes that there are many more people out there like him, suggesting that everyone has to deal with loss and loneliness as part of the human experience. The island and the bottle are metaphors; by reaching out, the protagonist discovers he is not alone, and that other people share his feelings of alienation...

With all this inspiration I've realised it only takes a small amount of energy and perhaps some courage to send, speak or sing (lol) a soul touching message to someone. A loved one, a friend, a child or a stranger....to help become aware of the connections we have with each other. It only takes a few words to make a meaningful message.

SO what I'm asking of you is to leave a positive comment, one that you might say if the world was listening. And i would love to gift this original painting to a lucky messenger as my way of saying 'Thank You'. The draw will be on the next New Moon in Taurus, Monday 5th May.Please leave some email details if you are not a blogger, so I can contact you. If you are a blogger and would love to take up this challenge and spread the Soul Connection please do. Send me you blog address and I'll post a link. Please use the image above in your post. This Challenge will then close on 5th May for 2008.

We are all connected and just as Sting sung there are many, many others across the world feeling the same sort of feelings.Lets connect the World with positive messages....

This is wonderful! My message to the world ..seeing as I am listening to myself finally...is quite simple......"Follow your heart,NOW. Don't wait until a 'better' ,,time..or when there's 'more money' or til later! Do it now. Live in the present moment. Go for it! You can do it.Don't let yourself wake up years from now asking yourself ....Why didn't I ever follow my heart."~Pam Aries

What you cannot SEE does not mean it is not there. The energy around each of us is connected with silver strands of invisible entwining loving peace. Love Jude

Somehow as women, we always make the time to look after our families - children, partners, friends etc. What we have to remember is that when we look after ourselves, love ourselves unconditionally and believe that we are worthy, we are empowered and everything becomes possible.
I GIVE LOVE
I RECEIVE LOVE
I LIVE LOVE
I AM LOVE

A wonderful idea, Nic! I'll post about it on my blog some time today. :)

As I've been reading Eckart Tolle's book, The Power Of Now, I feel very conscious of 'being' in the present moment.

My message - BE fully present in the moment, develop an attitude of gratitude and live life with a kind, compassionate and empathetic heart to all living things. We truly are all connected.

Life doesn't get longer the more we live. Decide now what you want to do and embrace it. There's joy in everything if we're open to seeing it and feeling it. The world is magical and wonderful so now is the time to kick of the shoes and feel grass under our feet, sun on the skin and joy in our hears.

Enjoy everyday as if it were the last. Share your love, hope and dreams with all you meet and hopefully you will give them the power to do the same.
Live and love life.

it is no great matter to make a goddess into a witch or a virgin into a harlot, but to achieve the contrary, to give the humiliated dignity, to make the fallen worth coveting. for that either art or character is needed.

So your heart's been broken. You've been hurt. You're afraid to love again. You wonder if it's worth the risk.

Wake up and smell the gardenias! Of course it's worth the risk! Dare to live and love again!

Celebrate every occasion. Replace those painful anniversaries with new, happier memories.

Good times are just waiting for you, so be courageous - now!
