journal page with an image from my original paintings

Was up early this morning, watching Rage and crocheting a comission for 2 Chowder Beanies when I saw this clip from Australian singer Vanessa Amorosi. She is an amazing talent, has been since a young age.....but CHECK THIS CLIP OUT! Truely its like she is dancing on a journal page and I am so inlove with the greyscale imagery...love love love it!

I am an in the moment kind of gal and find it challenging to think too far ahead. So to be thinking about that 'C' word in August is taking me a little while to get my head wrapped around. I know some mums already organizing pressies....omgosh. However I am feeling good about being invited to this extraordinary event. And I am dreaming up some incredible goodies. I just know this is going to be a good one. All round.
My sweet soul sister-in-law. Andrea. Always great company and great soulfilling conversations. We had such a fun laugh filled to the brim, good time at the exhibition opening.
Saw so many friends and loved all those artsy conversations. Here is one of my bestest artsy friends Anna. Thought we'd have our pic taken in front of some Norman Lindsay's, no less!
I've been developing and creating some new goodies. Creative pieces that are all about the goodness within us and around us. I'm using some recycled finds with new materials, some paint, fibre and paper.
This pic caught my eye in the weekends paper. I mean why wouldn't it? Big hair, flower on top with gorgeous patterns in the background and a to die for dress.... its Fashion Festival Brisbane at South Bank. Any Bris-Vegas people going this weekend? What a great line up of events they've got going.
I was browsing through some mags at the newsagent and found a copy of Cloth Paper Scissors. I had a delightful flip through the pages and came to a grinding halt when I saw one of my art pieces on this page from an article I wrote some time ago...I wanted to do a little jump in the air and share it with some body. Alas.... there was no one standing next to me for me to say 'Hey Look, this is my art...." I bought the magzine home and showed my family. And did my happy dance.
