Dancing on a Journal page...

Was up early this morning, watching Rage and crocheting a comission for 2 Chowder Beanies when I saw this clip from Australian singer Vanessa Amorosi. She is an amazing talent, has been since a young age.....but CHECK THIS CLIP OUT! Truely its like she is dancing on a journal page and I am so inlove with the greyscale imagery...love love love it!

Believer!

I'm a Believer! a believer in dreams, a believer that all is possible, a believer that it can all come true. and there its is...a belief and a painting to go with it. My latest creative adventure and I'm so proud of the fact that I've been this creative in such a busy time the last few weeks.

And she is going to remind me to be a believer every time I see her....

what do you think of the beaded curtain behind the painting over my studio door? I think it looks like my white dots in my painting. A beautiful reflection!

organized office ~ hooray!

I spent quite a bit of time organizing our office last week. Throwing out paper work from my file system and sorting a way to easy find those bits and pieces of information I need to put my hands on. Its amazing how much paperwork 2 adults and 2 kids have coming into the house....and I'm such a visual person, if I don't see it, I forget it! I've started using my diary heaps more and this filing system on my bench holds paperwork + projects that are on the go. I also painted 2 masonsite clip boards (you can see the corner one on the right) to hold invites and things to be talked about and decided on. The other is upstairs in the kitchen with the kids current events for school and other activities.

I feel so much more organized and its flowed over into my studio as well...it feels good and light.

Just knowing I can easy put my hand on whatever I want to find is an amazing feeling.....

I know some mums already organizing pressies....omgosh. However I am feeling good about being invited to this extraordinary event. And I am dreaming up some incredible goodies. anything is possible....

you may have noticed I've been a little absent from fb and blogland..... it feels like I've been absent anyway. Why is it so? I've taken up a position with a fashion wholesaler, Vaniggy, and currently in my second week. Its been 4 yrs since I've been in the 'outside world' working so its been a bit of a shock to my system.....after finishing my first day I could barely walk after being on my feet for 6 hrs...possibly a slight exaggeration there, but I was worn out. This week has been better and I'm feeling the rhythm of my daily schedule. The brand name of clothing is Go Girl with the motto Anything is Possible. How could it not be anything but good?

We - myself, hubby and our kids are all realigning to this new time table, but it feels like its working and all is as its meant to be. I feel I shall learn much here. And I'm working with a great bunch of ladies!

I am determined to be as creative as I was before. It shall take lots of focus and self discipline with so many wonderful ways to be distracted, but I am full of optimism and possibilities knowing I have to make the most of the time I have...

time out

A weekend away was just what I needed. To see some familiar faces, spend time with family and just enjoy some all round happy times.

My sweet soul sister-in-law. Andrea. Always great company and great soulfilling conversations. We had such a fun laugh filled to the brim, good time at the exhibition opening.

Saw so many friends and loved all those artsy conversations. Here is one of my bestest artsy friends Anna. Thought we'd have our pic taken in front of some Norman Lindsay's, no less!

Spent time with my family....my bro and I.

Captured a beautiful sunset, in the cool crisp mountain air.

Was out early in my pj's taking this shot of ice on my windscreen.

and some resident owls at my Mum and Dads place.

Yes this time out was great to rekindle and reconnect some parts of me. Thanks to all that made this weekend special...feeling blessed and appreciative of my time out.

big vision, small steps

I've been developing and creating some new goodies. Creative pieces that are all about the goodness within us and around us. I'm using some recycled finds with new materials, some paint, fibre and paper.

I'm feeling so passionate about creating from the heart with spirited intentions that are visual reminders, uplifting for your core.....affirming that we can be all that we are meant to be. Its taking some time to 'get it right' and I'm listening as I go along with the 'making'.

And I'm mindful that whilst I want to create goodies that about love and light that they are not in the box of 'spiritual' products. Not that there is anything wrong with that, I see there is a space for up beat artsy products with spirited intentions. Thats were I'm heading. To make the world a better place in my own, recycled, beautiful 'thing' way. To make creations for that special someone that knows having this piece in their daily lives is going to make a difference to how they see/feel in themselves.

Yes its a big vision....but its coming together, one piece at a time.

to my newsletter, one coming soon.

all dressed up...

This pic caught my eye in the weekends paper. I mean why wouldn't it? Big hair, flower on top with gorgeous patterns in the background and a to die for dress.... its Fashion Festival Brisbane at South Bank. Any Bris-Vegas people going this weekend? What a great line up of events they've got going.

And loved watching the prep work that went into this hero shot. I've always been curious about how things have been put together to create the end result, so I enjoyed this little clip immensely. Sadly I shall not be on of the 'frocked gals' attending these events, instead I shall be 'frocked up' in Toowoomba enjoying the Downlands Art show opening, where I shall see many dear friends and view some fabo art!

small stuff is important!

I was browsing through some mags at the newsagent and found a copy of Cloth Paper Scissors. I had a delightful flip through the pages and came to a grinding halt when I saw one of my art pieces on this page from an article I wrote some time ago...I wanted to do a little jump in the air and share it with some body. Alas.... there was no one standing next to me for me to say 'Hey Look, this is my art...." I bought the magzine home and showed my family. And did my happy dance.

Its the small rewarding, encouragement along the way that really does make a huge difference. Make it count I say, even the small stuff! Its all important.
