French Connection

Ahh the French Connection...... I fell in love with the the most exquisite and delightful treasures that Corey has on her website at Tongue in Cheek. And received 2 delightful pieces of her collection .....some antique lace and a metal ornament, which were both from the 19th Century. Again feeling inspired from my love of textiles, and I was very excited to be creating from materials that were of that vintage.(Just ask anyone who I told about my parcel coming from France!)

This art is on paper, and when I took a photo of it, the light gave it a sepia tone all on its own and I was holding out at arms length...when I looked through the lens I liked the way it was on an angle.....and so maybe the next drawing I do will be angled and perhaps tea stained....

This is amazing. I would have never guessed that the French lace would or could be used in this way! Perfect!
