brooches, buckles and buttons

Show Me Wednesday is about a collection. I do love to collect brooches, buttons, buckles (and jewellery as well) that has a vintage flavour. Some of these items have belonged to my mum, grandma's and my husband grandmother. And I love to wear them!

This collection is usually in a shadow box and on display in our bedroom with a few other vintage pieces.I just loved the frayed edge of the velvet! Sometimes I give these delightful finds a new lease of life and transform them into a more contemporary jewellery piece. There is something definitely enchanting in a well loved, ornate embellishment. One that often I find irresistible.
