Daily Hope
These 2 paintings are some very recent paintings that I am exhibiting in Toowoomba Grammar Art Show, this weekend, more details in a minute. I am thoroughly enjoying my new process and feel very much at peace with how I am creating. These paintings are quite dimensional with beads and wire and the flowers softly blossom off the surface as they are created with cut out canvas.
Hope and Love
Whilst creating these paintings I printed on some scrap canvas, with my left hand I reached into my letter stamp collection and randomly pulled out letters to see what words came to me. And this is what revealed itself. I read it as 'As daily hope came, she took love into her heart'. And so the name of the paintings above.
I then created some canvas beads from some smaller pieces.
Now the Art show is on Saturday 24th March 10am-5pm and Sunday 25th 10am-4:30pm at Toowoomba Grammar School. A couple of dollars to get in and well worth taking the time to see, always a great representation of art.
